Et tu, Julius Caesar?

What do Alexander the Great, James Baldwin, Drew Barrymore, Marlon Brando, Caligula, Truman Capote, Michelangelo, Casanova, Noel Coward, Jeff Dahmer, James Dean, Ellen DeGeneres, Andy Dick, Edward II, Harvey Fierstein, John Wayne Gacy, Greta Garbo, Federico Garcia Lorca, Boy George, Sir Alec Guinness, Merv Griffin, Paris Hilton, Langston Hughes, Mick Jagger, James I, Joan Jett, Elton John, Jasper Johns, Angelina Jolie, Janis Joplin, Frida Kahlo, Nathan Lane, Louis XIII, Charles Manson, Marilyn Manson, Sir Ian McKellen, Rosie O’Donnell, Pink, Plato, and Socrates have in common?

They’re all attracted to their own gender. Ha ha! It must suck to get ‘outed’ like this.

Speaking of Gay, NMSU is on Facebook!

A Difference of Values

By Pixel at April 10, 2005 at 2:47 pm. Filed in a pixelated mind, seriously now, thought experiment

The difference between my values and those of most people is that I don’t think humans are nearly as special as most people seem to believe.
As such, abortion, assisted suicide, and birth control seem fine to me. After all, who am I to say what another person should do with their life? But the real reason I’m fine with this is that there’s no pain or frustration of pleasure associated with it (intrinsically. In other words, other people could feel pain or frustrated pleasure because of an abortion, but the person who got the blasted thing in the first place shouldn’t). On the other hand, hunting, eating meat, and using cosmetics that were tested on animals do cause pain and frustrated interests. So I’m against that. And generally against people that are for that.
Am I wrong? I mean, without using the Bible, can you conclusively prove me wrong? Seriously, I want to know.

Fighting the left… Doing it right

By Pixel at April 10, 2005 at 1:06 pm. Filed in advocacy, note to self, seriously now

*sigh*
“Silent majority?” WTF? Nobody makes more noise than the right. And what’s more, they’re actually proud to be on Rush Limbaugh’s website!

*sigh* The problem with all of this is that, like all festering arguments, there’s a nugget of truth to this. Yes, war has ended imminent threats, yes the Muslim culture is different than ours (in a way that a Christian or non-Muslim might say is bad), yes Saddam was an S.O.B.

But, of course, none of that matters. What matters is that ‘if liberals had their way, Saddam would still be in power.’ Of course, if liberals really had it their way, Saddam would never have been in power in the first place. And you’d have free education, free medicine, and fair prices for all of your needs.
And what a terrible world that would be!

There’s no honor in this! Oh, wait, there is.

By Pixel at April 10, 2005 at 12:18 am. Filed in slice of life

Look. I’m an ‘honorable’ mention for this $2000 scholarship. Thanks, but honorable mentions don’t pay the bills. If they did, my bills would be minimal. Only $6000 or so.

Oh, I’m screwed.
