A Difference of Values

By Pixel at April 10, 2005 at 2:47 pm. Filed in a pixelated mind, seriously now, thought experiment

The difference between my values and those of most people is that I don’t think humans are nearly as special as most people seem to believe.
As such, abortion, assisted suicide, and birth control seem fine to me. After all, who am I to say what another person should do with their life? But the real reason I’m fine with this is that there’s no pain or frustration of pleasure associated with it (intrinsically. In other words, other people could feel pain or frustrated pleasure because of an abortion, but the person who got the blasted thing in the first place shouldn’t). On the other hand, hunting, eating meat, and using cosmetics that were tested on animals do cause pain and frustrated interests. So I’m against that. And generally against people that are for that.
Am I wrong? I mean, without using the Bible, can you conclusively prove me wrong? Seriously, I want to know.
