Anti-man Greenie Through and Through

Hey children, remember this? That’s right, it was my response to this man who posted this on my website.

That’s an important point. My website. Not his, not anybody else’s. As best as I can remember, I visited his wife’s weblog to find more information about a carnival that I was interested in. I never asked him or anybody else to visit my website. I welcome visitors, but if you’re going to argue in my domain, your time might be better spent watching paint peel or traffic jam.

He came on my website and called me a “disgusting fuck,” a “Disgusting child abuser… Please never have children,” and stated that my “beliefs are just like those of anti-immunization crackpots… Malnutrition and death has resulted from young children being subjected to a vegan diet. Remove yourself from the gene pool now before you subject another human being to suffering because of your beleifs, sicko.”

Right. Well. That was back in June. It is now October. Four months later, without so much as a hint of provocation other than my own success, Mr. Tremblay goes back and attacks me on his team blog. Presumably, I was just the catalyst and not the sole subject of his rant, but still. The point remains that he has so far accused me of being a “disgusting fuck,” “disgusting child abuser,” “sicko,” and told me that– at least once — malnutrition and death has resulted from children being subjected to my ‘beleifs.’

How mature.

Responsible parenting and child rearing can be done on a vegan diet. I’d go on further, but the point obviously isn’t the facts of the matter. The point is that I’m “an anti-man Greenie through and through.” If it were about the facts, he would have shown facts instead of gross generalizations (fallacy of vividness) and shameless insults (fallacy of poisoning the well).

After all,

“Vegan parents are murderers and child abusers, and they should all go to jail without exception.”

and

“Christian parents are murderers and child abusers, and they should all go to jail without exception.”

Without exception?

“I am against parenting as an institution. I am not unreasonable about it”

Nice to know… but aren’t you worried about offending people?

“To be honest, I’m not really worried about offending the scum of the Earth.”

Oh. My bad.

“In an ideal individualist world, parenting would be a hard-won privilege, not a universal right, and parents would be at a power disadvantage. But this will probably never happen.”

Ah. Finally I am in agreement. Let’s end there.

Update: Mr. Tremblay says,

“You’re 20, I’m 28. Doesn’t make you being a disgusting fuck any better. It just
means you have more time to stop being a disgusting fuck.”

….and….

“I am not going to read whatever dreck this fuck puts up. If another blog writer
wants to read it and post his own entry in reply, go right ahead.”

Nice to see he’s being friendly and looking at both sides of the story.
