Now accessible to mortals

Dr. Trumpet and Mr. Rob

My wonderful roommate (is reading this) has some funny foibles. When you speak to him day to day, he’s ever so nice to you (assuming you’re not me). He won’t fight or anything, though he will point out when you’re being a fool (it’s like the pot calling the kettle black). Online, however, he’s a brutal monster.

He’s a creationist bashing, message board hopping, take-no-prisoners, unabashed master debator.

It amuses me how he can stare into his screen, ever so intently, and produce either an eloquent argument or a stinging insult in just minutes (it’s not the only thing he does in just minutes).

I, on the other hand, carry my personality into the internet and back out again. Which is why most people can’t relate to me. Imagine a guy who has extremely serious moments and extremely wacky moments interchangeably. Yeah, that’s me. What you read is what you get is what I am.

I wonder if other people are more like him or more like me..

  1. Aloha mate… or perhaps padre? Maybe muchacho or is that laying it on too thick?

    …I’ll go with mate.

  2. Can I sue you for slander? Calling me a brutal monster seems a little harsh. I’m calling Judge Judy… Watch out!
