Open letter to the Las Cruces Shooter

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

Dear Las Cruces Shooter

Can I just call you “Shoot?” Thanks. So I noticed that you took the time to write a thoroughly censored letter to the city (twice!) and nobody took the time to respond to you.

That just changed.

Have I ever said ’nuff said?

No?

‘Nuff said.

Setting priorities straight

Saturday, September 16th, 2006
  1. Family (urgent)
  2. Friends (urgent)
  3. Work (urgent)
  4. Self (urgent)
  5. Friends (normal)
  6. Work (normal)
  7. Friends (leisure)
  8. Family (normal)
  9. Family (leisure)
  10. Self (normal)
  11. Self (leisure)

There’s something wrong with this list. As far as I’ve thought about it (four minutes now), it’s accurate, but that doesn’t make it feel any less wrong.

I think I’m going to drastically rearrange it soon. Perhaps make my own leisure more important than work.

Is it right that I can only think of four broad categories within which to categorize everything?

I think I have a new motto: “live your life such that filling in old acquaintances on your new goings ons takes longer than a TV commercial.”

… I think my motto needs some work.

Do you know anyone who’s hiring?

My town is under siege.

More later as the story develops, but first I must find a mortuary or graveyard or funeral home or cemetery to shoot in.

p.s. I’m back. How is everybody?
