Why I love my friends

Prince of Darkness

Early in 2006, Moofruot sent me her sock as per a prior agreement. I’ve mentioned that before. My friends think it’s odd that I carry the sock around in my backpack, but it makes perfect sense to me. I mean, I can’t figure out what else to put in that CD player pocket, and a sock makes as much sense to me as loose change, so why not?

Today, I received something else I will add to that pocket. I went to check the mail this morning, expecting to find nothing that would signal my imminent death. Isn’t it funny how wrong you can be sometimes?

I opened the mailbox and found something that shocked me to my very core!

My former roommate Jess sent me a little “Prince of Darkness” Voodoo doll. It’s brilliant! I’ll include the letter without any explanation whatsoever.

Letter from Jess

I <3 Jess. She’s great. One day I might write an ode about her. She’s smart, funny, gorgeous, fun, caring, a great listener and just a bit quirky. I wish all humans were like her. Which is why I must KILL her. She understands.

Today I am thankful for… snail mail, death threats and Jess… but not necessarily in that order.

Lappy Update: There is nothing worth reporting in the Lappy front. Please hold all further questions, cards and gifts until it arrives. Thank you.

Those were wonderful things you said about me and it really made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I truly look forward to the day when you attempt to take my life or when I try to take yours ……either way, we shall meet again my friend.
